Until I Die by Amy Plum

I wish there was only today, just right now, and no forever.

It seems fitting that I fell in love in Paris. Peel back a thin layer of reality and under the city's glamorous surface is a battleground for immortal enemies.

Because with Vincent, reality is an illusion. Handsome, chivalrous, and witty, he's got everything I've ever wanted in a boyfriend...except mortality. But when I chose Vincent, I chose love over reason and safety.

Vincent swore to avoid death--to resist his very nature so that we could be together. But I refuse to stand by and watch him suffer.

I know I'll do whatever it takes--even if it means lying to the people I love--to fight against a fate that is trying to tear us apart.

The Revenants series, so far, is absolutely amazing! It's hard not to absolutely love, LOVE the characters. Kate is an amazing character and once you get into the story it's hard not to feel her love, pain, and emotions.

Warning: Amy Plum leaves cliff hangers...

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

When seventeen-year-old Katy Swartz moved to West Virginia right before her senior year, she’d pretty much resigned herself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring, but then she spotted her hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up…until he opened his mouth. Daemon Black is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. It’s hate at first sight, but when a stranger attacks her and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens. The hot guy next door? Well, he’s an alien. Turns out that Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities and Katy is caught in the crosshairs. Daemon’s touch has lit her up like the Vegas Strip and the only way she’s getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until her alien mojo fades. That is if she doesn’t kill him first.

I, personally, love this author. Jennifer L. Armentrout is an amazing author. She captivates the readers with the characters, plot and the relationships they share. Katy "Kitten" is a great heroin-ish character and I absolutely love her temper. I can't wait to read what comes next. Action-packed. Thrilling.

 Here check out this excerpt from Daemon's P.O.V.
   Kat was two seconds from losing it, and I loved it. Her hands curled into tiny fists. “Like what?”
            “Well, the jumping jacks… for an hour or so should do it.” I was only half serious when I made the suggestion, but then my gaze dropped over the front of her shirt. Suddenly, I wanted nothing more than to see her jump around.  “You may want to change first.”
            She took a deep breath. “I’m not jumping jacks for an hour.”
            And that was a damn shame. Crimson stained the tips of her cheeks. A sure sign she was angry. I couldn’t help myself. “You could run around the house, up and down the stairs.” I met her eyes and grinned. “We could always have sex. I hear that uses up a lot of energy.”

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .
Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

Great thrilling adventure that puts you right there with these amazing characters. I can't wait to read the following books in the series...

Other books in the series:

 Her Goals: to impress Mr. Franklin, get a date with Nathan, and keep her column in the school newspaper.
The answers are in the stars, all right, but can Logan decipher them before it's too late?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Aries Rising is an interesting book. A quick and easy read. Bonnie Hearn Hill puts you right there, with the characters, in high school. Every student who wants something, and I mean really wants it, will do everything in their power (that's legal) to make it happen. Her book is amazing. Watching someone transform their life using astrology is a twist (that i don't believe in). This piece of fiction is cool in a way that is easy to follow, relate to, and automatically makes you fall for the characters.
And when Nicholas Drake is torn between saving his little sister, Solange, or his girlfriend Lucy, who will he choose?
Back of Book:
*Lucy's P.O.V.*
       "What happened?" I broke into a run. "Kieran!" There was a bite mark just above his collar, the flesh ragged.
       He swallowed, trying to speak. "Solange," he croaked. "Help Sol--"
       "She's fine," I assured him. "Don't just stand there!" I shouted at Solange. "Help Me!"
       "I don't know if i can!" She shouted back, frantically. "I can still taste his blood, Lucy. I can smell it everywhere. It's in the grass, in the air, on me. I'm not safe."
             We were in so much trouble.
       "Get in the van, Kieran," I said, moving very slowly to stand in front of him.
       "No, don't go," Solange said, "I'm still hungry."
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.
When I found this book I had just gotten out of a Percy Jackson and the Olympians swing and this threw me right back but with awesome (and HOT) twists. It's amazing. It makes you want to learn more and puts you right there with the characters. The characters are amazing too. I loved every last page of the book, every last word. You won't want to put it down. GO BUY IT NOW! (BTW there is going to be a lot of Jennifer's stuff on here 'cuz I totally love her!!! XD)
Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It’s gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie’s estranged father—an elusive European warlock—only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it’s her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium,
especially her.
Review:
First off, let me say that like Sophie, I'm totally in love with Archer Cross (and a LOT of people from other books)! Also I would love to have a vampire as a friend! This book was so good that i read it for most of the night because right after i read this one I picked the next one up. Archer Cross is one of the coolest names I have ever heard. Go get this book. Witches, warlocks, werewolves, shifters, demons, and demon-hunters galore! "Ouch!" *rubs cheek* "Sorry Siobhan." And faeries, too!
Characters:
Sophia Mercer- Witch
Archer Cross- Warlock
Jennifer Talbot- Vampire
Elodie "???"- Witch
Ratings:
Main character: 10/10
Plot: 9/10
Entire rating: 9.5/10
Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.
That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.
Turns out, Sophie’s a
demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a risky procedure that will either destroy her powers forever — or kill her.
But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new housemates? They’re demons too. Meaning
someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Acher to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?
*Sobs* I STILL LOVE ARCHER! The sequel to #HexHall is even better than the first. Sophie meets her Demon father, James, and takes her best friend, Jenna, fiancee, Cal, to Thorne Abbey, the place her great-grandmother was turned into a demon, one of the most powerful creatures on earth. And a place that it is possible for her to find a certain...ARCHER CROSS. :) Life is amazing!
Characters:
          Sophia Mercer- demon
          Archer Cross- Warlock and member of L'Occhio Di Dio (group of demon- hunters known as the EYE.)
          Jenna Talbolt- Vampire
          Daisy- Demon
          Nick- Demon
          Lara- Witch (Hex Hall's headmistress' sister)
          James- Dad and Demon
          Cal- Warlock, fiancee and groundskeeper at HEX HALL
